| I’ve been weight training since 1986. I began when I was thirteen years old and training for football. Even after high school I still enjoyed working out and the fitness lifestyle. While I was in the Navy many people told me I should be a bodybuilder but I never took them seriously. I did however compete in arm wrestling and bench press contests. In 2000, after serving six years in the Navy, I began to go to bodybuilding shows and my interest was greatly increased after I became a certified personal trainer and started working for Bally’s Total Fitness. At that time I met two trainers who were competing and they mentored me and got me ready for my first show which I won. I was hooked! Since then I have made it one of my life’s goals to show that I can compete, win, and be a successful bodybuilder without the use of steroids. I want to teach and show others how to become healthier and lead an active life. I also want to train and mentor other up and coming bodybuilders through my own knowledge and experience. |
